Hard waste
Stonnington residential ratepayers can purchase a booked hard rubbish collection, in addition to the free annual area wide collections twice per year. It can be up to five cubic metres which is 1m wide x 1m high x 5m long.
IMPORTANT - Your pile of hard rubbish is your responsibility, and waste that is dumped on your pile may be included in your paid volume.
IMPORTANT - You can only book for an eligible residential address, not for industrial and commercial premises and businesses operated from home. We will cancel bookings that are ineligible and cancellation fees may apply*.
Booking instructions
- Bookings will be confirmed by email directly after booking is placed. A confirmation SMS will be sent the weekend before your collection is to take place.
- Individual items must weigh less than 20 kilograms.
- Items must be shorter than 1.5 metres long, except mattresses.
- All the hard waste together must take up less than five cubic metres, excess will not be collected.

- Make sure the footpath is always clear, with access for wheelchairs and prams.
- Neatly place items on the nature strip no earlier than 24 hours before your collection date.
