Residents with a kerbside garbage service are entitled to one free kerbside collection per financial year at their primary place of residence only.
Residents have several options for the disposal of acceptable hard waste through Council's hard waste service:
Kerbside Collections
Free 'at call' on demand collections (no cost, any time of year)
Additional paid collections for $146 per booking, $25 per mattress, $26 per tyre, and $29 per fridge managed by WM Waste Management Services. Council can also arrange one additional paid collection per financial year at subsidised rates (contact Council customer service on 1300 229 229 to book or for more information).
Your free 2 cubic metre allocation of hard waste is applicable per financial year, with a new allocation being available from 1 July every year. 2 cubic metres – 2 metres long x 1 metre high x 1 metre wide. In feet this equates to 6ft x 3ft x 3ft.
The free at call hard waste collection service replaces the previous hard waste vouchers issued with your rate notices.
You should receive a confirmation email immediately after booking outlining your collection week, when and
where
to place out the waste, the acceptable and unacceptable waste and the amount of waste that can be placed
out.
