This Service is only available to households where a Council waste charge is paid.
Residents are entitled to one free booked collection of 2 cubic metres per financial year.
Your hard waste collection entitlement is 2 cubic metres – 2 metres long x 1 metre high x 1 metre wide.
Only acceptable items will be collected.
Unacceptable items will NOT be collected. These items will be left on the nature strip, and it will be your responsibility to remove these items and appropriately dispose of within 24 hours - please check the listing of what will and will not be collected.
Do not place any waste out until your booking is confirmed.
Items placed on the nature strip without a booking are considered as illegal dumping and may result in a fine.
Do not leave any items of value near hard waste piles as these will be deemed as hard waste and if taken, no compensation will be given.
Did you know that the Darebin Resource Recovery Centre accepts a variety of recycled items for free? Instead of throwing away household goods, consider giving them a second life. The centre also operates a Recycled Goods Shop, where items in good working condition can be donated and reused.
